Every purchase at Vice City Shops involves an identity or Age verification  for Adult, Alcohol, Tobacco & CBD Related before delivery.

Vice City Shops takes the security of your personal data seriously. We recognize that the information on your ID may be considered sensitive or biometric information. 

• We implement security controls to handle the information on your ID with due care, in consideration of what is appropriate for information that may be sensitive in nature. 
• We limit our retention of information collected from your state issued identification, basing our retention period on what is required under applicable laws or to the extent needed for legitimate business purposes.  If we can verify that we do not need to retain your information to prevent fraud, demonstrate our legal and regulatory compliance, or for another legitimate business purpose, we will dicard it.
• We do not sell your information or share it with third parties for other commercial purposes.
• We limit our use of the ID information we collect and use it for the limited purposes of fraud prevention, to demonstrate our legal and regulatory compliance and similar legitimate business purposes.  We will not sell this information or use it for other commercial purposes.

Types of Verifications

The verification types and level varies based on transaction type or user behavior when using Vice City connect. Some processes happen in the background with cookies and system triggers as you browse, while others require your input to proceed.

Age verification. 

These are crucial for complying with all necessary regulations regarding age-restricted items and set leading responsibility and safety standards for the industry. 

L1 - At the first time visiting . Every user when access to our website for first time is required to confirm that they are over the legal in order to to continue browsing in our site  

L2 - During Signup a new account to use any of product or services offered by Vice City CONNECT, you will be promted to verify your identity and  age in order to grant you continue access in the platform .

• • L2a - During the order Handoff: Delivery Partners may do a physical examination of the recipient’s ID and will also scan the front of that ID to run a variety of compliance checks. Provided these checks are successful, you will receive the Adult, Alcohol, Tobacco & CBD Related order.

Once you go through and pass the age verification. levels procedure before your first Adult, Alcohol, Tobacco & CBD Related delivery, .

You won’t be required to do it again to checkout until the ID you used expires(see below)!

Your verification will be saved for future purchases unless:

1. An Identity Security verification is required. 
2. When your ID expires, you will be asked to update your new ID

Identity verifications.

This following level of verification may be involved randomly, when it is a strictly necessary or wheen is triggered by by our system due to an uncommon behavior as safety measure and to document our process  to safeguard your account, data, our community, and company. 

• • L3 - While checkout Vice City Shops involves a one-time process to check your age when ordering Adult, Alcohol, Tobacco & CBD Related. Provided you are of legal age, after you upload a photo of your ID, you’ll be able to continue using your account, and complete your order. 

Note: to reiterate the renewal of your ID, the Delivery Partner will be prompted to physically check and scan the front of your ID before handing off your order.

Information shared with Delivery Partners

 Vice City Shops Only shre with delivery partners necessary information prior to delivery  - your first name and last initial prior to delivery.
When the Delivery Partner arrives at your delivery location, they will be prompted to physically check your ID and also scan the front of your ID before handing off your order. They will not be able to view your address after the order is complete, nor will they have a copy of your ID on their phones (Find more details below).

Information stored by Vice City Shops

Your ID is scanned via the third party app and not retained by Vice City Shops compliying with our security measures described below. Your ID information is used to confirm you are you and your age, and will not be available anywhere once the scan is complete. The ID scan process takes place entirely within the  third-party apps. 

Vice City Shops security and privacy teams review such third parties apps for compliance with our security and privacy requirements.

Updating or changing the type ID

You can update or change the the ype your ID, by yourself. Loggin in into  Acconut Hub > Profile, select “vefication” and then "update" followed the prompted steps. 

Other recipients for the order

Adult, Alcohol, Tobacco & CBD Related purchases require in-person delivery.  If the order is received on your behalf, or you are sending a gift order, the Delivery Partner will ask to check the recipient’s age and scan a valid government issued ID to help ensure they are of legal age. 

If you or a 21+ recipient are not available, the Delivery Partner will abandon the order and take the items back to the store.

SELF-EXCLUSION

If you do not wish to receive content about any of the Adult, Alcohol, Tobacco or CBD Related categories on from Vice City Shops, you are able to voluntarily exclude yourself from receiving direct marketing communication such as updates, specials, etc,  surrounding Vice City Shops’s Adult, Alcohol, Tobacco & CBD Related-related.

 Get in touch with CONNECTED Support to submit your exclusion request. 

If you wish to receive Adult, Alcohol, Tobacco & CBD Related items again on Vice City Shops Marketplace, you can submit your request to terminate the exclusion period using the same form.
